This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Builder, Principal Product Manager based in Canada. As a Principal Product Manager, you will help redefine how a complex technology platform is designed, accessed, and experienced through AI-driven innovation and rapid experimentation. You will identify high-impact opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate friction, and deliver meaningful improvements for customers and the business. Working within a small, AI-native team, you will combine strategic product leadership with hands-on prototyping to turn ambitious ideas into tangible, working solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineers and experience designers, using AI tools, real data, and system integrations to validate new approaches. Rather than relying solely on roadmaps or requirements documents, you will demonstrate what is possible through measurable experiments and compelling before-and-after results. This role offers significant autonomy, the opportunity to challenge established ways of working, and the chance to shape the future direction of a technology platform in a fast-evolving environment. This role offers significant autonomy, the opportunity to challenge established ways of working, and the chance to shape the future direction of a technology platform in a fast-evolving environment. Accountabilities: - Identify friction points, bottlenecks, and unnecessary handoffs across complex platform workflows, prioritizing opportunities that can deliver significant customer and business value. - Define product vision and strategic direction by translating ambiguous, multi-system challenges into clear problems, actionable hypotheses, and compelling solution concepts. - Challenge existing platform capabilities and operating models, determining where functionality should be replaced, simplified, or substantially improved through evidence-based experimentation. - Build and validate AI-assisted prototypes and demonstrations using prompts, AI tools, agentic workflows, real data, and system integrations to prove the feasibility and value of proposed solutions. - Work hands-on with developers and experience designers to explore new approaches, test assumptions, and demonstrate how improved platform experiences can work in practice. - Evaluate alternative solution approaches through rapid experimentation, using measurable outcomes and customer insights rather than opinions alone to guide product decisions. - Create clear before-and-after demonstrations that make existing friction visible, communicate the benefits of proposed changes, and build stakeholder support for transformation. - Translate experimental findings into actionable product direction, defining what the platform should become and establishing a practical path toward realizing that vision. - Connect customer needs, business objectives, user experience considerations, and technical constraints to develop coherent, scalable product strategies. - Influence cross-functional stakeholders and encourage alignment around new approaches, using tangible evidence and working solutions rather than relying on formal authority. - Collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Experience teams to develop an AI-native delivery approach that integrates product thinking, design, and technical execution. - Identify reusable insights, successful experimentation methods, and opportunities for broader platform improvements that can generate value across multiple products or workflows. Requirements: - At least 8 years of experience driving product strategy and direction in complex technical environments, supported by a strong understanding of customer needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities. - A proven track record of using experimentation to discover opportunities, validate hypotheses, evolve solutions, and demonstrate measurable business or customer impact. - Strong product judgment and strategic prioritization skills, with the ability to identify high-value opportunities across interconnected systems rather than focusing exclusively on individual features. - Hands-on experience building AI-assisted prototypes or demonstrations, including prompt design, agentic workflows, AI-powered tools, and system integrations. - Demonstrated ability to work across product management, engineering, and experience design, shaping solutions from initial problem discovery through prototyping and validation. - A practical, execution-oriented mindset, with evidence of turning complex problems and strategic insights into tangible working outcomes rather than relying solely on requirements documents, presentations, or roadmaps. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize user needs, business context, technical constraints, and experimental findings into clear, defensible product decisions. - Comfort operating independently in ambiguous environments, taking initiative, defining direction without a predefined roadmap, and making progress despite uncertainty. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across teams and gain support without relying on formal authority. - High learning agility and adaptability, with the ability to navigate rapidly evolving AI technologies, emerging product development practices, and complex technical challenges. - Preferred qualifications: Experience launching new products or features from concept to market, particularly within enterprise SaaS, workflow-intensive products, or greenfield environments. - Familiarity with structuring product intent for agentic workflows, defining hypotheses, and iterating through metrics-driven experimentation. - Experience evaluating multiple solution approaches and making decisions based on demonstrated results and measurable outcomes. - Understanding of complex, multi-system platforms and the organizational and technical changes required to deliver platform-level business improvements. Benefits: - Competitive base salary: Expected starting annual salary range of CAD $142,000–$207,900 for Canada-based positions, depending on experience and geographic location. Offers may exceed this range. - Performance-based compensation: Potential eligibility for annual cash bonuses and additional compensation opportunities, depending on the applicable compensation structure. - Equity opportunities: Stock grants may be included as part of the overall compensation package. - Comprehensive benefits: Access to a benefits package, with specific coverage details determined by the applicable employment arrangement. - Meaningful product ownership: Influence platform strategy, challenge established approaches, and help define how AI transforms complex technology experiences. - Hands-on AI innovation: Work directly with AI tools, agentic workflows, prototypes, and real-world systems to turn ambitious product ideas into practical solutions. - Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with product, engineering, and experience design professionals in a small, AI-native team. - Professional growth: Expand your expertise in AI-driven product development, rapid experimentation, enterprise platforms, and emerging technology. - Inclusive workplace culture: Join an environment committed to belonging, collaboration, and enabling individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive. - Onboarding requirements: In-person onboarding and/or identity verification may be required for this position.
