Powering Great Work We started as the place to find a trusted trade. Now, as we shape the future of home improvement, we're building the tech to transform that landscape for everyone - better products, smarter data, AI where it actually helps - so trades can spend less time on admin and consumers can find someone they trust, first time. That's Powering Great Work, and it's why every team here exists: 🔧 Trades spend less time on admin and more on winning work and growing their business 🏠 Homeowners get a trusted trade, first time, every time 🚀 We get to build products that change homes and lives across the country As our next Account Executive, you'll help bring more trades onto Checkatrade across different regions and categories. It's a new business role: you find high-potential trade businesses and guide them from the first conversation to a signed deal. You'll sit in our Strategic Growth team, at the heart of how we grow the trade network that homeowners rely on. The job, unfiltered: - Win new trade businesses by finding high-potential small and medium trades, building proposals that make sense for them and negotiating terms. - Hand each new trade over smoothly to our vetting team, so the start of their Checkatrade journey goes well. - Spot opportunities in the market, using data and insights to see where Checkatrade is strong and where we can grow. - Work with Account Management, Vetting, Product and Operations to find the regions and categories that would benefit most from Checkatrade. - Learn our product suite inside out, so every business case is tailored to the prospect in front of you. - Own the outbound sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to proposals, negotiation and closing. The fit: - Solid experience in commercial or new business sales, ideally in similar markets, with a strong focus on outbound acquisition. - A track record of finding new clients, building tailored proposals and hitting revenue targets. - The knack for building strong relationships with tradespeople, and working closely with colleagues across teams. - Confidence juggling multiple priorities and improving how things get done. - Experience building customer relationships, whether through digital outreach or face-to-face conversations. - Tenacity and resilience. This is a test-and-learn environment where persistence matters. Nice to have: familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce) and outbound tools, and an understanding of AI-powered optimisation tools. (Don't self-select out because you don't tick every box. We'd rather meet you.) What you get 💰 Competitive salary, annual bonus & equity scheme 🩺 Health, wellbeing and learning support 🚲 Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme, Cycle Scheme 🎂 Birthday/special day leave, buy & sell holiday scheme ❤️ 1 week's paid charity leave, and more How this goes - Screening call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners - 1st stage interview with our Head of Sales SMB - 2nd stage interview with our Head of Sales SMB and Sales Operations Manager - 3rd stage interview with our VP of Sales Not this one?
