The Role Working across Marketing and Issuer & Investor Relations, the Marketing and Audience Development Manager will develop and deliver lead-generation, acquisition and engagement activity across events, webinars, content and digital campaigns. This role combines hands-on marketing delivery with an audience-first and commercially minded approach. Using data and insight, you’ll help identify the audiences we need to reach, determine how best to engage them and uncover opportunities to grow our issuer and investor communities and support the commercial growth of our events. Key Responsibilities - Develop and deliver audience acquisition and lead-generation strategies to grow priority issuer and investor communities across the portfolio. - Partner with Issuer & Investor Relations to identify priority organisations, audience segments and growth opportunities, translating these into targeted marketing activity. - Find opportunities to reach new audiences through webinars, content marketing, paid promotion, annual partnerships and other acquisition channels. - Develop nurture journeys that move newly acquired leads and existing audiences towards deeper engagement and event participation. - Build year-round engagement activity that maintains relationships with key communities between individual event campaigns. - Find opportunities to re-engage existing or dormant audiences and strengthen their relationship with the wider portfolio. - Test new acquisition and engagement approaches, scaling activity that delivers high-quality and commercially relevant leads. - Plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns across email, digital, social media, website, content, partnerships and other relevant channels. - Manage audience marketing across the full event lifecycle, from launch and acquisition through to registration, attendance and post-event engagement. - Plan and deliver webinars, content campaigns and other lead-generation initiatives that provide valuable audience touchpoints throughout the year. - Develop targeted messaging, content and audience journeys that reflect the interests and needs of different issuer and investor groups. - Collaborate across Marketing, Issuer & Investor Relations, Content and Sales to ensure audience activity supports wider event and commercial objectives. - Use audience, CRM and campaign data to understand audience behaviour, identify gaps and guide targeting, segmentation and nurture activity. - Track performance against targets including audience growth, engagement, qualified leads, registrations, conversion and marketing-attributed revenue. - Handle both the volume and quality of leads generated, ensuring activity remains focused on audiences relevant to event and commercial objectives. - Analyse campaign performance to understand which audiences, channels and messages deliver the strongest results, and optimise activity accordingly. - Share audience insights and recommendations with Marketing and Issuer & Investor Relations colleagues to guide future strategy. - Ensure marketing and audience acquisition activity aligns with relevant data protection and GDPR requirements. Required Skills and Experience - Experience in marketing, audience development, demand generation or lead generation, ideally within B2B events, media or professional services. - Strong understanding of multi-channel audience acquisition, lead generation and nurture. - Experience delivering events, webinars, content campaigns or other audience engagement activity. - Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms for segmentation, targeting and campaign delivery. - Strong analytical skills, with confidence using data and insight to improve audience and campaign performance. - Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills. - A commercially minded, collaborative and proactive approach, with a focus on growing and deepening valuable audience relationships. Desirable - Experience working with issuer, investor or other professional B2B audiences. - Experience using campaign and audience data to measure qualified leads, conversion and marketing-attributed revenue.
