With 80+ nationalities, 45% women, of which 56% of women in our leadership team, diversity isn't a program; It's who we are. We've built a discrimination-free hiring process https://medium.com/qonto-way/a-recruiters-dilemma-confronting-bias-in-hiring-b78acce148eb because the best teams are built on merit. - AI at Qonto: AI is deeply embedded in how we work (here https://medium.com/qonto-way/ai-at-qonto-vision-statement-725a7e2f659b) - Every Qontoer gets unlimited access to the best AI tools. We want people who experiment without waiting for permission, push AI beyond the obvious, know when to trust it, and when to question it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Location: You can choose to work at Qonto as long as you're living in (or willing to relocate to) either Germany, France, Italy, Serbia, Portugal, or Spain. ➡️ MISSION Join our AI Product team as a Senior Android Engineer and help accelerate Qonto's transition to an AI-first product. You'll build user-facing AI agent experiences used by 750,000+ businesses to manage their finances, working in small, autonomous squads under the guidance of Sophie https://www.linkedin.com/in/sophie-cornay-16101a23/, our AI Product Lead, and 2 Tech Leads. As we keep evolving our existing agents and grow into a platform other teams can build their own agents on, you'll own the Android experience end-to-end, building reliable, maintainable foundations that scale across the app. ➡️ WHAT YOU'LL DO - Ship features, fast & well: Deliver Android features for our AI agents from scoping to release, balancing speed with reliability and minimal technical debt. - Build for the long term: Architect clean, SOLID, testable and performant Android code that holds up in a regulated banking environment and doesn't need rewriting three months later. - Leverage AI daily: Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code…) for ~70% of your coding to review, refine and ship features faster. - Keep mobile on par with web: Bring AI agent features shipped on Web to the Android app quickly, working hand in hand with Product, iOS, Backend and Frontend. ➡️ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Kotlin expertise: You have strong production experience in Android with Kotlin and know how to ship at pace. - Startup mindset: You're a fast learner and confident shipper from a product-driven, user-centric environment — fintech or regulated industry experience is a plus. - AI-native workflow: You use AI coding tools daily to amplify your output — Cursor or Claude Code isn't something you're trying, it's how you work. Also, you've already built or tested something with AI, even just for yourself. - Strong communication & solution oriented: You explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical colleagues and know when to disagree and commit. Swift knowledge is a nice to have, not a requirement. You don't need to tick every box to apply. ➡️ WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU - AI-first tooling: Unlimited access to the best AI tools on the market, including Claude Code (with the Superpowers plugin), Cursor and Notion AI. - A team becoming a platform: Your work will help other Qonto teams build their own AI agents. - A lean culture where autonomy is the default: Minimal process, quick dailies, weekly demos with leadership, and every hour counts. - A clear growth path: This role is designed to evolve toward AI engineering — if becoming an AI-native engineer is your ambition, this is where it happens. ➡️ YOUR FUTURE MANAGER You'll work closely with Sophie https://www.linkedin.com/in/sophie-cornay-16101a23/, our Lead for the AI Product team. Sophie has led cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle at both fast-growing startups and established tech companies, and partners directly with Product and Tech leadership to align the AI roadmap with Qonto's strategic goals. Her approach: give engineers real ownership, create space for experimentation, and empower the squad to adapt their ways of working in pursuit of real impact. ➡️ ABOUT OUR HIRING PROCESS - 2 Interviews (1 hour each): first with your Talent Acquisition Manager, then a technical interview with one of our Tech Leads - Live skill test with two Android engineers (2 hours) - Final interview and meeting with Sophie (1 hour) We aim to wrap the process in 10 days max, from first interview to potential offer 🤞 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ At Qonto, we understand that true diversity isn’t just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist. Apply regardless of the boxes you tick - who knows? You may have the missing piece of the puzzle we’ve been searching for all along. By applying, you agree that Qonto processes your personal data to assess your application. Your data is kept for up to 2 years in our candidate pool. Read our Privacy Notice https://qonto.com/en/legal-documents/privacy-notice for full details. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On average, our hiring process lasts 20 working days.
