**Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) to meet customer and regulatory requirements** Who We Are We are pioneering modular motion technologies to power the next generation of innovation for Industrial, Aerospace and Defense. If you're excited about disrupting legacy industries, and passionate about motor control technology, let's chat! We are at the forefront of innovation, crafting exclusive motion control components that propel the industrial, aerospace, and defense sectors into the future. A couple other things: - We offer a lot of autonomy - We like to run lean for impact - We have great benefits - We are well funded, and already generating revenue - We are located in beautiful Hawthorne, CA and just moved into a new large hangar facility What you'll do: We are seeking a versatile, CAD and drawing master able to create outstanding drawings to produce key parts for manufacturing and certification. You will be a key step in the processes for building - CAD Architecture: Keep the CAD structure clean with assemblies that make logical sense and configurations that allow for part variations - Drawing generator: Create the detailed 2D drawings for complex mechanisms components and assemblies including precision gears, bearings, lead screws, braking systems, and encoders, avionics boxes. - Fitment and Clearence: Create reasonable part tolerance and perform stack-up analysis. Use fit classes to establish good part alignment. Read manufactures data sheets to size appropriate housings. - Fabricable Design: Deploy your knowledge of fabrication techniques (tool sizes, machine features) to minimize time with vendors and reduce overall cost. What you need: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Experience: 5+ years of experience as a drafter in aerospace or automotive fields. - CAD Mastery: Advanced design experience in SolidWorks including complex assemblies and configuration management on a PDM system. - ASME Y14 and GD&T master: Know ASME Y14 like the back of your hand and deploy that knowledge on the drawings. - Team mindset: Help the team achieve their goals by owning the drawing process and finding ways circumvent the roadblocks. Nice to have: - Flight Program: Have created drawings used for a flight certification program (FAA or MIL) - Gearbox Specialization: Detailed knowledge of how to create drawings for gears, screws, precision parts What we have to offer: We are not just building components. We are reshaping the future of the Aerospace and Defense component industry, which is a $300B+ market! Come join us and help build next generation systems that will make a massive impact at global scale. - Competitive compensation: $150,000 to $170,000 base salary + equity - Exceptional healthcare benefits — Medical is 100% covered by the company - Life Insurance (2x Salary) 100% covered by the company - Flexible PTO, 401K, Financial Wellness Resources, and more
