Definium Therapeutics is a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company and our mission is to forge a new era of psychiatry by applying scientific rigor to psychedelics, with the goal of developing accessible treatments that unlock healing at scale. Our lead product candidate, lysergide tartrate (our proprietary orally disintegrating tablet form of lysergide (LSD) D-tartrate), represents a highly differentiated, potential best-in-class opportunity for patients suffering from generalized anxiety, major depressive disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder. Our early stage pipeline includes DT402, the R-enantiomer of MDMA and is under development to target the core symptoms of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), specifically addressing social communication challenges. Guided by the recognition that patients deserve more than better, Definium is relentlessly advancing a new generation of therapeutics intended to address the underlying causes of psychiatric and neurological disorders. By turning evidence into impact, Definium aims to change the trajectory of today’s mental health care crisis and enable a healthier future. Headquartered in New York, Definium Therapeutics trades on Nasdaq under the symbol DFTX. Together we are moving psychiatry forward—beyond better, into a boundless future. Join us! As the company grows, we are building the digital capabilities, data foundation, and operating model needed to support development, launch readiness, and future commercialization. The Senior Director, Digital Innovation will serve as a strategic bridge between Enterprise Technology and the business, translating needs across Clinical, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Finance, and Corporate functions into a pragmatic digital roadmap. This is not simply a technology delivery role. The successful leader will help Definium determine where digital, data, automation, and AI can create meaningful business value, then orchestrate the people, platforms, vendors, governance, and change required to deliver it. What You’ll Do Set the Digital Strategy & Roadmap - Partner with business and technology leaders to define an enterprise digital innovation strategy aligned with Definium’s 3-5 year growth and commercialization plans. - Assess current digital capabilities, platforms, vendors, consultants, AI initiatives, and spend; identify gaps, overlap, underutilized capabilities, and opportunities to simplify. - Build and maintain a prioritized multi-year roadmap that sequences investments based on business value, readiness, risk, and scalability. - Continuously benchmark emerging practices across biotech, specialty pharma, and adjacent industries, separating durable opportunities from technology hype. Enable Commercial & Patient-Focused Capabilities - Partner with Commercial, Market Access, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, and Enterprise Technology to define capabilities required for launch readiness and post-launch operations. - Help shape the future digital patient and provider experience, including capabilities supporting patient services, reimbursement, engagement, adherence, and omnichannel interactions. - Partner with data and functional leaders to strengthen analytics and decision support so leadership can effectively manage the business as commercialization approaches. Advance Responsible AI & Automation - Identify high-value opportunities to apply AI, automation, and emerging digital capabilities across the enterprise. - Create a practical intake and prioritization approach for experimentation and scaled adoption, with clear business ownership and measurable outcomes. - Partner with Enterprise Technology, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and business stakeholders to promote responsible, secure, and sustainable adoption of new capabilities. Build the Operating Model - Clarify decision rights and responsibilities across Enterprise Technology, Digital Innovation, and functional teams so solutions have clear ownership from idea through adoption and lifecycle management. - Establish lightweight governance for demand intake, prioritization, architecture alignment, vendor decisions, investment, and value realization. - Determine where capabilities should be built internally versus sourced through strategic partners; manage key consultants and vendors and help evolve the internal team as needs grow. Lead Through Influence - Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, bringing an enterprise perspective while staying close to functional needs. - Translate business problems into clear capability requirements and technology opportunities, and translate technical choices into business implications for non-technical stakeholders. - Drive cross-functional alignment, adoption, and change in an environment where priorities and capabilities are evolving quickly. What You Bring - 12+ years of relevant experience spanning digital strategy, enterprise technology, product, data/analytics, or technology-enabled business transformation, ideally within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or another regulated industry. - Experience leading digital strategy or transformation programs that connect enterprise technology with business functions; experience supporting a company approaching commercialization or launch is highly valued. - Working knowledge of commercial life sciences capabilities, particularly patient services, market access, omnichannel engagement, commercial analytics, and related data flows; exposure to Clinical and Medical Affairs is a plus. - Demonstrated ability to evaluate and apply AI, automation, data, and emerging technologies to real business problems rather than pursuing technology for its own sake. - Experience developing roadmaps, business cases, operating models, governance, and investment priorities, with a strong orientation toward measurable outcomes. - Strong vendor and partner management skills, including the judgment to determine when to build, buy, or partner. - Exceptional cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders without relying on direct authority. - Comfort operating in a fast-growing environment with ambiguity, competing priorities, and a need to balance near-term delivery with long-term capability building. - Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant technical/business training is a plus. What Success Looks Like - Definium has a clear, business-led digital roadmap tied to development, launch, and growth priorities. - Digital investments are prioritized consistently, with clearer ownership, less duplication, and stronger visibility into value and spend. - Commercial, Clinical, Medical, and corporate teams have a trusted partner who can connect business needs to scalable technology solutions. - AI and automation move beyond isolated experiments toward responsible, repeatable adoption where they can materially improve work or decision-making. - Definium builds only the digital organization it needs, at the right time, using an effective mix of internal talent and external partners. Individual compensation within the range is determined based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, qualifications, scope of the role, and other legitimate business considerations.
