What we’re looking for: - Qualified to practice law in the jurisdiction where you reside (or equivalent EU qualification). - Significant post-qualification legal experience in privacy, with substantial experience counseling on EU privacy law (including GDPR; ePrivacy knowledge strongly preferred). - Demonstrated experience providing product counseling in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to translate legal requirements into clear, practical guidance for Legal, Product and Engineering teams. - Experience leading or materially supporting DPIAs/privacy risk assessments, and driving cross-functional mitigations to enable launches while managing risk. - Strong understanding of how modern products handle data (e.g., data flows, analytics, SDKs/APIs, tracking/measurement concepts) sufficient to counsel effectively on privacy-by-design. - Excellent judgment and integrity, with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. - Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with an ability to drive alignment across teams in fast-moving, high-stakes environments. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with independence, sound judgment, and attention to detail. - Eagerness to learn, strong ownership, and a flexible, collaborative approach to problem-solving. - Demonstrated ability to use AI and other technology tools effectively and responsibly and identify practical opportunities to improve effectiveness, or willingness to learn. - Experience navigating complex, multi-jurisdictional legal and compliance issues for a technology company or similarly dynamic environment preferred. - Familiarity with international data transfer mechanisms (e.g., SCCs and transfer risk assessments) preferred.
