We’re on a mission to become the go-to destination for students across Europe to find a trusted home away from home. We make every step of the rental journey simple and seamless, so students can focus on what really matters: studying, exploring, and growing. With HousingAnywhere, Kamernet, and Studapart under our roof, we’re Europe’s largest student rental platform. You’ll find us in Rotterdam, Paris, and Cergy, always guided by our four core values: Ownership, We are enablers, We are changemakers, and We are connectors. Join us in empowering students to unlock their potential through a safe, online, rental experience. About the role Help people find their next home with absolute certainty. Moving to a new country is an adventure, but finding a home shouldn’t be the hardest part. At HousingAnywhere we’re revolutionizing renting by building a platform that helps people confidently rent a home abroad. Every search, every recommendation, every listing, and every interaction makes a difference. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the Listing & Finding experience. You will define what discovering a home feels like: fast, relevant, trustworthy, and human. Design isn't here to polish screens. It's here to shape the product. Collaborate deeply. Design with absolute purpose. You'll work alongside Product, Engineering, Research and Data to understand problems, challenge assumptions, validate ideas and turn ambiguity into a product that genuinely improves people's lives. You'll have the freedom to influence your team’s strategy, drive discovery and make decisions based on research, experimentation and measurable outcomes. We move fast, we think ahead, and we focus on what our audience truly needs. If you thrive on autonomy and solving complex puzzles, we want to hear from you. What you'll own You'll become the design owner for one of the most important journeys in our marketplace. That means you'll: - Shape the long-term vision for search & discovery experience. - Lead projects from early discovery through launch and iteration. - Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Research as an equal partner. - Use qualitative research, behavioural data and experimentation to make decisions – not opinions. - Define success, measure impact and continuously improve your solutions. - Raise the quality bar across the design team through thoughtful design critique, collaboration and craft. - Contribute to our design principles, design system and the way we build the product. We care deeply about craft Great UX isn't accidental. Neither is a great UI. We sweat the details because details matter and they create trust. You'll be joining a Design Team that values: - elegant interaction design - clear design principles - accessible experiences - consistent systems - meaningful micro-interactions - quality over shortcuts Shipping fast matters. Shipping something we're proud of matters even more. AI is changing how products are built. We're embracing it. We actively use AI throughout our product development process – from discovery and ideation to prototyping, content, automation and engineering workflows. We're investing heavily in: - AI-assisted product experiences - intelligent automation - scalable design systems - design-to-code workflows - faster experimentation We're looking for designers who are excited to explore what's possible – not afraid that AI exists. We'd love to meet you if you have - At least 7+ years of experience designing complex digital products. - Strong product thinking and problem framing skills. - Excellent interaction and visual design craft. - Experience in marketplaces, search or discovery products. - Experience running discovery and validating ideas. - Confidence working with data, metrics and experiments. - Experience collaborating closely with engineers and product managers. - A portfolio showing not only what you designed – but why. Why designers like working here - Because design has a seat at the table. - Because we're trusted to make product decisions – not just UI. - Because we care about quality. - Because we challenge each other. - Because we believe every release should leave the experience better than yesterday. - And because helping people find a home in a new country is a problem worth solving. We're looking for someone who'll make the experience of searching for a new home abroad meaningfully better. If that sounds like the kind of challenge you're after, we'd love to talk. What’s in it for you - Depending on experience and qualifications, the salary range is €69.600 – €83.500 gross per year (based on 40 hours, including Holiday Allowance). - Unlimited paid holidays, minimum-based, not maximum! - Position based in our Rotterdam office with a hybrid working policy (2 office days). - Flexibility to work remotely in another country than the Netherlands for up to 2 months per year! - 1,000 EUR per year personal development budget. - Complete coverage for commuting. - Personal equipment, including a laptop and ergonomic setup. - Gym membership discount with GoVital or OneFit. - Dutch/English classes budget. - Variable pension scheme. - Diverse international community (46+ nationalities). - Pet-friendly office in Rotterdam city centre. - Team-building events and after-work drinks every Friday.
