Hi, we’re AMBOSS and we’re searching for a Working Student to support the Legal team at AMBOSS! ABOUT AMBOSS AMBOSS is the copilot for medical professionals, empowering them to provide the best possible care through our learning and clinical decision support tool. Our team brings together care, innovative thinking, and cutting-edge AI medical technology. Our founders launched AMBOSS in 2012 with the goal of creating a tool they wished they had during medical school and clinical practice. Since then, we've grown to over 600 employees and are active in over 180 countries - primarily in Germany and the US. Our offices are located in Berlin, Cologne, New York, Cagliari and Cape Town. Want to learn more about our culture? Watch our video https://youtu.be/gTPDn5XpeJg to explore what makes us unique. Don't worry if you haven't mastered all of these legal fields yet—this is a supportive, hands-on learning role where you'll learn as you go. If even one or two points fit your interest or background, apply anyway! HOW YOU'LL SUPPORT OUR TEAM: - Contract and operations support: Help keep our contract landscape organized by categorizing vendors, setting up and maintaining a clean filing system, and assisting with routine contract checks using standard checklists - Getting hands-on with Privacy: Assist our privacy team with foundational tasks, such as performing first-pass reviews on new vendors and processing activities - Partnership: Gain practical drafting experience by helping create simple partnership agreements (e.g., with student associations) from initial draft to signature - General legal research: Support the team on everyday questions around civil law, IP, and content usage — from trademark basics to copyright guidelines. - Growth and learning: Gradually take on small, routine tasks independently over your first few months YOU BRING: - You are enrolled in a law programme in Germany and in your 5th semester or beyond (we're open on where in Germany you study and are located) - German at C2 level and English at C1 or above: our contracts and counterparties are largely German, our company language is English, and you'll move between both daily - An interest in data protection: you don't need to be a GDPR expert, but you should be the kind of person who notices when something touches personal data and asks about it - First exposure to or genuine interest in civil law and IP law: whether from your studies or a previous role - A structured, reliable way of working: the kind of person who finishes the filing, not just the interesting part of the task - Clear, precise writing: you'll draft and comment on contracts that other AMBOSSians rely on YOU ENJOY: - You work independently and with ambition, but in close collaboration with a team of three seniors — you don't need someone checking in on you to make progress - You pick things up hands-on and want to keep growing beyond the tasks you already know - You have good judgement about what you can decide yourself and what needs the owner of a senior team member and you'd rather ask once too often than once too little - You're curious about how legal work connects to the commercial side of a business, and you want to see contracts in their real context rather than only in a seminar BENEFITS: AMBOSSians tell us that innovative work keeps them energized and employee benefits help them to feel appreciated and empowered. We invest in every AMBOSSian with our employee benefits package, crafted to support financial, physical, and mental health, and work-life harmony. 🌴 Rest & Time Off (paid vacation days, AMBOSS holiday, personal purpose day and more) 🥙Food & Office Comfort (Daily healthy breakfast & lunch by in-house chef in Berlin HQ, AMBOSS daycare, work remotely from other office spaces in Cologne, Sardinia, Cape Town) 🏃 Health, Fitness & Mobility (Urban Sports Club -M plan- , Fitbit Versa 3, Deutschland Ticket…) Check out the full list of benefits below: https://go.amboss.com/the-amboss-prescription-de We believe that diversity is a powerful driver of innovation and progress. That’s why we are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment where everyone— regardless of gender, age, ethnic or cultural background, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity—is valued and given equal opportunity to thrive. We warmly welcome people of all backgrounds to help us fulfil our mission: empowering all medical professionals to provide the best possible care 🩺 Even if you don’t meet every single point in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. We’d love to hear from you!
