Join the Rest Revolution The world is wired and tired. It's plagued by screens, notifications, and the sense that you should always be doing ... something. But hey, you're reading this job application right now, so you probably know exactly what we're talking about. So here's a bit of good news amidst all the noise: Hatch is a sleep wellness company that's betting on rest in a culture obsessed with optimization. While most technology is designed to keep you engaged, our devices use the science of habit formation to help people unplug, unwind, and recharge. Through genuinely enjoyable routines, habit building, and gentle guidance (no sleep scores or wearables here), we help people build healthier sleep habits and feel the difference in everyday life. More than a decade ago, we started with a mission to help parents navigate the complexities of newborn sleep. Today, we're helping more than 5 million people (and counting) take care of themselves and the people they love through the power of rest. We’re open to candidates across the U.S. and Canada. However, please note that Hatch is based in California, so we just ask that you're available during PST/PDT hours. The Opportunity We're looking for a contract Senior Product Analyst to cover a planned leave on our analytics team. This role supports our adult product lines. You will use data to drive product decisions, uncover opportunities to improve the user experience, and deepen our understanding of Hatch customers. You will own content measurement, keep product performance reporting and day-to-day analytics running for adult products, and support our subscription and growth analytics, working with Product, Engineering, Content, and Design. Our analytics team uses AI tools as part of its everyday workflow, and you'll be expected to do the same. What you’ll do Within 1 month: - Learn our product experience, data warehouse, company strategy, and success metrics for the adult product lines. - Take over content measurement, including existing reporting and open questions from the content team. - Fill gaps in product performance reporting and handle business-as-usual analytics requests for adult products, using existing dashboards and ad hoc analyses. Within 3 months: - Own recurring analyses of subscription and growth metrics, including conversion, retention, churn, and LTV, and communicate what is driving them. - Share analyses and data-informed recommendations on adult product performance and feature decisions. - Build measurement plans for upcoming product and content changes. - Use AI-assisted workflows where they speed up analysis and documentation, and validate the output before it reaches a stakeholder. After 6 months: - Actively contribute to the adult product analysis workflow, from scoping questions through to sharing recommendations with Product, Engineering, Content, and Design. - Contribute to experimentation on adult products, including design, measurement, and readouts. - Document the work you own, including content measurement, so the team can pick it up without rework when the engagement ends. What you’ll bring - 3+ years of quantitative industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering) - Hands-on experience with subscription and growth metrics, including retention, churn, cohort analysis, and LTV, ideally in a consumer subscription business - Advanced SQL skills and experience with consumer product data in large data warehouse environments, plus familiarity with Python, R, or similar tools - Practical experience using AI tools in analytics work, such as writing and debugging SQL, exploratory analysis, and drafting documentation, with the judgment to check results for errors before relying on them - Fluency with data visualization platforms (Hex, Mode, Tableau) and an eye for visuals that make insights clear - Working knowledge of statistical methods, experiment design, and common pitfalls of data analysis - Experience partnering directly with product and content teams, and the ability to explain findings to technical and non-technical audiences - Self-starting attitude: you drive projects from start to finish with minimal guidance and a focus on improving the customer experience - Customer empathy: you use data to understand customer behavior so we can deliver value to Hatch users Why You’ll Love Working at Hatch - We’re a certified Great Place to Work - We help people sleep better. Our products make a real, meaningful difference in our customers’ lives - Our team is collaborative, fun, and full of brilliant minds, and you’ll work with leadership that truly values every contribution - We’re backed by world-class investors (and growing fast) - We’re a remote-friendly work environment.
