Because the best senior talent rarely applies through a job board, every search depends on solid market research, curiosity, and a bit of detective work. You'll learn this craft hands-on, working closely with our Executive Recruiter to track down candidates for some of SumUp's most important hires, often before they're even looking for a new role. It's a structured, supported way into Executive Recruiting and broader Talent Acquisition, built for someone who's curious about what makes a person the right fit for SumUp and a great leader. What you'll do - Research and map candidates for senior and strategic leadership roles using LinkedIn, our internal database and other sources. - Shadow the Executive Recruiter on live searches to see firsthand what makes a strong leadership candidate. - Keep candidate records accurate and up to date. - Share clear, structured updates on search progress during weekly check-ins with hiring teams. - Help test new sourcing channels and ideas alongside the Executive Recruiting team. You'll be great for this role if… - Genuine curiosity about people and what makes someone the right fit for a role, shown through previous jobs, research projects, coursework, volunteer work, or self-directed learning. - Persistence and attention to detail, with a track record of keeping structured, accurate records. - Ability to manage deadlines and multiple tasks in a professional or academic setting. - Openness to feedback and comfort picking up new tools and ways of working quickly. Any prior exposure to sourcing or CRM tools is a bonus, not a requirement. Full training will be provided.
